Navigation around the world, I hope you know what provides the new (and rather shocking, I must say) French law on copyright. This is a real revolution (in negative) for Internet users, already accustomed to freely exchange files through peer to peer programs like e-mule, torrent, etc..
On May 13 the French Senate has finally approved the new law on copyright that will strengthen the existing one, which is in force since 2006, the DAVDSI .

The new law ( HADOPI ) provides for the creation of a government agency, called "Haute Autorité pour la Diffusion des Œuvres et la Protection des Droits sur Internet" with the task of monitoring the work of the French internet.
The purpose of the law is to prevent Internet users from exchanging or make a circular network materials covered by copyright .
In case of violation of the law, HADOPI act in the following ways:
- send an e-mail all'intestatario connection, specifying the IP address under investigation;
If the user is suspected of violating the law again
- will be sent another e-mail certified, similar to the first;
In case of further violations
- 's ISP is ordered to suspend the offending user's connection for a period ranging from a minimum of 2 months to a maximum of one year.
You will also be added to a blacklist, and once after the suspension period, the ISP can determine whether or not to restore the connection.

The law is rather strict. The region is obviously dictated by a desire to protect the rights of copyright and in particular the distribution of pay movies and music.
