The bunga bunga
which marks the end of a reign of
Eugenio Scalfari Italy's Berlusconi's recent chronicles tell that yet another scandal now generally labeled "bunga bunga" left me at the same time indifferent and astonished.
indifference stems from the fact I've known for thirty years and Silvio Berlusconi have long come to the conclusion that our Prime Minister is in many ways the prototype of Italian defects, latent in the national character set to the virtues that certainly are not lacking. We are hardworking, patient, adaptable and hospitable.
But even smart, victims, boastful, anarchist, intolerant of rules, comedians. Selfishness and generosity are facing and so transforming and consistency, contempt of the institutions and feelings of patriotism.
Berlusconi has the undoubted ability and perverse that it evoked the worst instincts of the country. The latent defects have emerged on the surface and have polluted the entire national society driven back into the bottom of our best part.
has been set in motion a genuine process of mass miseducation that has lasted for thirty years using modern communication technologies and defacing the thinking of individuals and institutions function.
Scandal "bunga bunga" is just yet another confirmation of this education on the reverse. So has my eyes nothing surprising.
Since he started his real estate business with money of mysterious origin, as with the support of Craxi built his television empire by ignoring the repeated rulings of the Constitutional Court, as the party-organized company on the ashes of the First Republic become worn down by corruption of government.

The program was ambitious but was implemented in a small part in the eight years of right-wing government which in fact it must add the two last Prodi government in which the weight of the opposition in the country was overwhelming.
But not only the program was in fact a dead letter, the worst happened. It happened that the program was contradicted. The system-system modernization has been anything but a liberal, anything but a coherent vision of the common good.
For ten years, the institution "government" has sought only to defend the person of Berlusconi by the measures of justice for the many crimes committed by him and his companies before and during his entry into politics. Meanwhile, the institution "Parliament" has been subservient to the executive and the judiciary is daily bombarded with insults, threats and pressures that have also cut down on the Constitutional Court, the CSM, the Authority and the Head of State guarantee.
the "boss" and his vassals have tried and are trying to build up a material which is anchored on the premise that the chief derives his authority from the people's vote and is therefore over-ordered with respect to any power to control and assurance.
This had the support of Italy that the miseducation of mass had deprived of all critical discernment and who saw in the Cape in the originator and support. The short circuit
that this situation resulted in the character of a certain Italy has meant that Berlusconi exhibit their vices, their wealth, the systematic violation of institutional rules and even of good taste and good manners as so many virtues.

The surprising thing is amazing and the tenacity with which Berlusconi clings to his armchair, nor the solidarity of the entire leadership of his party and his Court, which is closing ranks around him knowing that his exit would ruin them all. The surprising thing is that - albeit with signs of wear and flaking - there is still certain that Italy whose consent to it resists the face of grotesque evidence of what happens. That is the surprising, even shocking, that tells us the extent of the evil that has been cultivated and injected into the veins of society and this is the legacy, Only the legacy of Silvio Berlusconi.
His wife, Veronica, in a letter published a year and a half ago, I carved a few lines, stigmatized that her husband was the use of power and institutions, the recruitment criteria of "his" political class packed with "tissue" and actresses who had "sold their bodies to the dragon" and concluded by writing: "My husband is sick and his friends should help heal seriously."
What is happening proves and confirms it: this man is seriously ill, the attraction to young women and young girls has become an addiction that alters the mind and sends her to pieces inhibitions.
